Entryway: Pop of Color! www.radmomcoolkid.com

Today, I’m sharing how I partnered with Wayfair to add a pop of color to our new interior entryway! As you can see, our entry is large and has great natural light. What it lacks is visual interest and personality.

It is just bland and lame so I made two goals for it:

#1 Function
We need a landing space for shoes, bags, keys, and seasonal items.

#2 Wow
I want to be excited to come in the front door.

As I was browsing through Wayfair for this project I initially thought I’d buy a fun and sassy rug. The problem was I could NOT decide! I liked too many and could never pull the trigger and buy something from my Rugs Idea Board. So, I started looking at console tables for a place to drop our keys and space to put some art. I fell in love with the style of the Safavieh Cindy Console Table and something about it in Red was speaking to me. I don’t normally go for red but I’m so glad I did! It’s a warm red with a hint of orange and it is really bright and cheerful. It gives our entry an awesome pop of color and is so happy! To catch our keys and break up all that red I added a white tray that fits PERFECTLY on top of the table.

While I was looking around Wayfair I decided to give the entry a bit of a summer vibe. We have a neighborhood pool just down the road so I added this cabana stripe towel to our collection of beach towels in the basket under the console table.

A pink and white pillow echos the cabana stripe and gives some interest and warmth to the shoe bench.

My other favorite Wayfair purchase was the coat rack. It will be perfect for beach towels in the summer and coats in the winter!

This is an amazing difference in the entryway with the added color and items. I love the added red desk and the striped towel underneath in the basket makes such a huge difference. It adds amazing character to the entryway. I will have add the colors to my home in this way. Thanks for sharing.

  21. I really like the way you’ve decorated the landing area there. I really love using basic colours and then adding rainbows and splashes of colour as well. My kitchen is a dark green and grey theme (I know, gross), so I really enjoyed putting bright oranges and pinks around the kitchen to make it look more lively :)
