gardner village : bloggers night out

One of my favorite places to go around Halloween is Gardner Village in West Jordan. It is a great little shopping area with tons of boutiques. My kids love it, too, because there is a great variety- candy, toys, books, clothes…something for everyone!

I recently attended a blogger night at Gardner Village and had a great time hanging out with some buddies and meeting new friends.

Eric Dowdle spoke to us about staying true to our personal style/art/voice and was kind enough to provide each of us with a signed puzzle of Gardner Village during Witchfest. Which (haha) brings me to Witchfest…basically it’s a giant girls night out that lasts all day and into the night and is family friendly and totally fun and silly and great. You can have breakfast with a witch, do a scavenger hunt, attend music dinner theatre, or gather your girlfriends for special Witches Night Out events.

Here’s a cool video from the night I was there- I rub blogging shoulders with some pretty fabulous people.

I took the kiddos back a few days later so they could see the decorations. Noa caught a real live snake (of course) and he fell into the pond (what did I expect?) and I lost each of the children 5 times each because they were so distracted by EVERYTHING- a witch on her eye-phone, a dance party in the center of the shops, pumpkins all over the place, face painting, treats…

If you live near, you should totally check it out! And, BONUS! get a pair of faux-fur lined leggings from Plum Dandy. They are $12 so get 2! I got a pair in black and I never want to take them off. Also, they aren’t see-through. Even when you bend over to twerk.

Get into the spirit of things and wear a witch costume when you go! Here’s my little witch hat headband I wore this year (click the pic for the tutorial):

  2. It was such a fun night, and you got some great pictures!

  3. Oh man! That looks like a blast. I never went to any blogger events when I lived in Utah. I was too scared. Now I wish I had!
